Funeral For Mrs. Pharis Held At Atlanta M. E. Church Recently

Mrs. Hester Ann Pharis, 84 years of age, born, reared, and married at Atlanta,
died April 18 at her home in Pineville after a lingering illness.  Funeral
services were held April 21 at Atlanta Methodist Church.

She is survived by a brother, Alec Ferguson of Atlanta, six daughters and two
sons: Mrs. Louella McCain and Mrs. L. M. Kelly, Pineville; Mrs. J. C. Luneau,
Alexandria; Mrs. Kate McCrosky, Houston, Texas; Mrs. Nellie Cook, Cleveland,
Ohio; Garland Pharis, Alexandria; Lige Pharis of Arkansas, and one daughter in
Mexico; two nieces, Mrs. J. J. Bell of Atlanta and Miss Margueritte Ferguson,
Dallas, Texas.
