Sister of E. C. Strickland Dies In Natchitoches

Mrs. Rosa Strickland Pharis, 86, of Natchitoches, died in Natchitoches Parish
Hospital Friday night, October 6, 1972.

She is survived by two sons, Rudolph Pharis of McAllen, Texas and Elijah
Pharis of Southgate, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Tauzin of Rayville,
Mrs. Grace Himel of Natchitoches, Mrs. Gertrude Bush of Sacramento, Calif.,
and Mrs. Birdie Godman of Kenner; two brothers, E. C. Strickland of Montgomery
and James R. Strickland of Terrell, Tex.; four grandchildren and three
great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Blanchard's with Dr.
James Carter officiating.  Burial was in Memory Lawn Cemetery.
