Pine Buried In Gansville Cemetery Thursday Afternoon Funeral services for Walter J. Pine, who died at his home in Gansville, Wednesday, March 18, were held at Gansville Thursday afternoon by the Rev. Chellette, Baptist minister of Jonesboro. Interment was in the Gansville Cemetery. Mr. Pine was a prominent and highly respected citizen of the parish. He was 53 years of age and was born in Jackson Parish. During recent years he had been a factor in the agricultural, educational and civil development of that section, having served as constable and deputy sheriff of that ward. He was married to Pearl Scarborough some 27 years ago and to this union were born ten children: Earl, El Dorado; Cecil, U. S. Navy; Archie, Vera, Martha Ray, Glen, Aubrey, Joe, Jack, and Mary Pine. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. C. C. O'Malley, Alexandria,; Mrs. Olive Hearne, of Texas; three brother, Lonnie Pine, Grayson, John and David Pine.
