Former Pastor In Winn Parish Buried in Grant

Rev. Henry Oden Pinckard, age 53, passed away April 1st in Rapides General
Hospital, Alexandria.

He was a native of Grant Parish, having been born at Verda, but moved to Rock
Hill near Colfax at an early age.  He was a veteran of World War II serving
in New Guinea.

He pastored several churches in Winn Parish, Grant, and LaSalle Parishes.

He is survived by his widow, Marcia Brunson and eight children, four 
daughters, Betty, Marcia Ann, Mary Lou, Dottie, and Sarah, four sons, Ben, 
Tom, Dan, and Bill; his mother, Mrs. L. S. Pinckard of Heritage Manor of
Alexandria, two brothers, L. S., Jr. of Bienville and Ben S. of Colfax; two
aunts, Mrs. Annie Lee Mayes of Olla, Miss Louella Oden of Minden, and two
uncles, Penn Oden of Shreveport and Barton Oden of New Orleans.

Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery near Bentley on Monday afternoon.
