Pine Dies In Hospital Walter Earl Pine, 46, of 909 Liberty Street, died in an El Dorado hospital Tuesday night at 11 o'clock after an illness of two months. He was born in Winn Parish, La., July 13, 1906, the son of Walter J. and Pearl Scarborough Pine. Mr. Pine had been a resident of Union County since 1945, operating Pine's Camp at Felsenthal before moving to El Dorado last December. Prior to his final illness he was employed by Burns Dairy. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving Mr. Pine are the widow, Mrs. Fern Pine; two sons, Walter Kenneth Pine of Cleveland, Ohio, and James Eric Pine of El Dorado; a daughter, Marian Earline Pine of El Dorado; his mother, Mrs. Walter Pine of Monroe, La.; four brothers, Cecil Pine of El Dorado, Glenn Pine of Dallas, Tex., Archie Pine of Natchitoches, La., and Jack Pine of San Antonio, Tex.; and five sisters, Mrs. William Kelly and Mrs. George Jones, both of Monroe, Mrs. Fred Fleek of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Aubie Kruesel of Boston, Mass., and Mrs. Mary Anilly of DeRidder, La. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Hall Mortuary with the Rev. Jesse Reed officiating. Pallbearers were Bert Tugwell, Pete Young, Felsenthal; Hermie Shows, Minden, La.; W. P. Talley, Magnolia; Cliff Burns, Sr., El Dorado; Talmadge Paxton, Huttig; Buster Barheimer and Gordon Smith, Stephens. Following the services interment was in Arlington Cemetery.
