Plilar M. Plilar, 49 years old, for a number of years conductor on the Tremont and Gulf Railway and former resident of Winnfield, died at his home in Shreveport last Thursday afternoon following a brief illness. Mr. Plilar was making his regular run on Wednesday between Tremont and Winnfield when stricken very ill. At Sikes he was treated by Dr. Stovall and came on into Winnfield on his train. He was taken to Shreveport to a sanitarium over the L. & A. Wednesday afternoon for treatment. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the family residence at 4 o'clock with the Rev. W. C. Scott, pastor of the Noel Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of the Wellman Undertaking Company. Mr. Plilar is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mae Pace Plilar; two children, J. D. Plilar and Miss Lizzie Mae Plilar, student of Centenary College. The deceased was a member of Shreveport Lodge, Order of the Railway Conductors, member of Eastern Star Masonic Lodge No. 151, Winnfield; a Royal Arch Mason of the Winnfield and Shreveport Consistory, and Shriner of the El Karubah Temple. Funeral services at the cemetery were conducted under the auspices of Caddo Lodge No. 179, F. & A. M.
