Plunkett, 70, Succumbs; Rites At Corinth Mrs. Pearl Plunkett, 70, of Winnfield died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, March 16, 1970 in Winnfield General Hospital. She was a native of Winn Parish and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Rayford Higgs officiating assisted by Rev. Thomas Cox. Interment was in the Corinth Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John DeRocco of Alexandria, four brothers, Ode Long, Manuel Long, Lonnie Long, Ben Long, all of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Waxley, Mrs. J. H. Jourdan of Winnfield, and Mrs. A. B. Coburn of Pineville. Three grandchildren, Woodie Sonnier of Winnfield, Duke Sonnier of San Jose, California, and Kim DeRocco of Alexandria, and six great grandchildren.
