Autopsy Discloses Negro Died Of Brain Disorder

An autopsy has showed that the death of a Negro woman, Ermalee Poland, about
42, last Sunday was caused by a brain hemorrhage, Sheriff Sanford Jordan said.

Her half brother, Nelson Taylor, was arrested on a charge of disturbing the
peace after the woman was found dead in her home Sunday afternoon.

It was first believed that the woman had been strangled or died from being
struck with a hammer which was found beneath her bed, Jordan said.

Taylor was arrested because he was the last person with the woman before her
death was discovered.

Taylor is still being held until authorities decide whether he is legally
clear of the case.
