Pollard, L. & A. Roadmaster, Dies in Shreveport William Edward Pollard, 60, roadmaster for the L & A Railroad died Monday at 10:30 p.m. in Shreveport of a heart attack. He had been a resident of Shreveport for the past two years, prior to which time he resided in Winnfield and Alexandria. Surviving are his widow; two sons, T. O. Pollard of Adner, La., and Clyde Herring Pollard of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Opal Brown of Denton, Texas; one sister, Mrs. R. B. Walker of Winnfield; five brothers, Jim Pollard of Georgetown, Bennett Pollard of Bentley, E.C. Pollard of Pineville, Sam Pollard of Boyce, and L. M. Pollard of Washington State. Funeral services and burial were held in Alexandria.
