Last Rites For Frank Poole, 76, Held At Mars Hill

Funeral services for Frank Poole, 76, of Atlanta, Rt. 2, were held at the Mars
Hill Baptist Church Monday, August 29, at __:30 p.m.  The Rev. Mose Mercer
officiated.  He was assisted by the Rev. Louis Williams, pastor of the Mars
Hill Church and the Reverend Smith, pastor of the Atlanta Baptist Church.

Burial was in the Mars Hill Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Poole died at his home Saturday, August 27, after a long illness.  A
farmer by profession, he was a member of the Baptist Church and had lived in
the Atlanta area for many years.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Emma Poole of Atlanta, Rt. 2; three sons, J. H.
Poole of Atlanta, Steve L. Poole of Glenmora, and Thomas E. Poole of Enid,
Oklahoma; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Day of Lake Charles, Mrs. R. E. Mathews
of West Monroe, Miss Myrtle Poole of St. Louis, and Miss Georgia Poole of
Sacramento, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
