F. Popp, age sixty, of Hargis, died at the home of J. W. Strange of Flat Creek Thursday morning at 7:30. Mr. Popp, who is an optician, was making his regular route when he stopped at the home of Mr. Strange Wednesday at noon. Felling indisposed, he asked to stay through the night. Still feeling unable to proceed with his work on Thursday morning, he was invited to stay until Friday. Part of the family were sitting by the fire talking when a struggle called their attention to Mr. Popp. Mr. Strange was summoned to his and everything was done for his comfort, but Mr. Popp lived only a short while after the attack. Mrs. Popp was notified of her husband's death and arrived Thursday afternoon. Arrangements were made for burial and the body was carried to Hodge where interment was made.
