All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Ibzan Porter, Obit February 11, 1965, Winn Parish Enterprise Last Rites For Ibzan Porter, 77, Held February 7 Ibzan Porter, 77, native of Winnfield, died in an Alexandria hospital February 6, following a short illness. He had been in ill health a number of years. A retired oilfield worker, Mr. Porter had been a resident of near Georgetown for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church and of the Georgetown Masonic Order. Last rites were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 1965, at the Georgetown Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Howard Smith officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Georgia Sanders Porter; two sons, Cecil and Baxter Porter, both of Heidelberg, Miss.; two daughters, Mrs. C.H. Bolton of Winnfield, and Mrs. E.E.
