Howard Porter, Jr.

Graveside services for Howard Allan Porter, Jr., were held on Thursday,
September 12, 1985, at 1:00 p.m. in Garden of Memories Cemetery with Dr.
Calvin Phelps officiating.  Burial was under direction of Southern Funeral
Home.

Mr. Porter is the son of the late Howard A. "Dick" and Ila Garriss Porter.  He
was preceded in death by a brother, Gene W. Porter of El Dorado, Arkansas and
a sister, Elizabeth Elaine Porter of Winnfield.

Porter, 61, of Gray, La., died Monday, September 9, 1985 in the hospital at
Metairie, La.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Porter of Gray; four sons, Howard A. Porter
II, of Lewisville, Texas, Tim Porter of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Eric and
Dave Porter of Gray, La.; and four daughters, Penny Sue Porter Boyd of
Lewisville, Texas, and Clair Porter, Allison Porter, and Ila Porter, all of
Gray; and three grandchildren, Bryan Scott Sigler, Michael Blaine Sigler, and
Ashlee Marie Porter, all of Lewisville, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers were Howard Allan Porter III, Tim Porter, Gerald Porter
Martin, Gene William Porter, Jr., Dan L. Page, J. W. Kennedy, and Kelly
Peterson.  Honorary pallbearers included Stacy David Porter, Stuart Garriss
Porter, and Clifford Hughes.
