Mrs. Porter, 77, Winn Native, Dies In Shreveport

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Alice Porter, 77, of Shreveport, and a
former resident of Winn Parish, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Southern
Funeral Home Chapel at Winnfield.

The Rev. E. J. Yocum officiated.  Burial followed in the Sardis Cemetery near
Winnfield.

Mrs. Porter died Saturday, October 16, 1971 at a Shreveport hospital following
a brief illness.

Survivors include one son, James F. Porter of Shreveport; two sisters, Alma
Sayes of Shreveport and Florine Hoxsler of Amarillo, Texas; thee brothers,
J. G. Reid and Henry Reid of Shreveport, and Alonzo Reid of Winnfield; and
one grandchild.
