She was a member of Old Union Baptist Church and a native of Winn Parish. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Old Union Baptist Church near Joyce with Rev. Wilmer Jordan officiating, assisted by Rev. Alson Jeter. Interment, under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield, was in Old Union Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Cortez Porter of Route 2, Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs. Jerlyn Wilson, Mrs. Loys Huffman, both of Route 2, Winnfield; one brother, Oscar Grice of Slidell; three sisters, Mrs. W. S. Dunn, Mrs. Anna Wood, of Route 2, Winnfield, and Mrs. Ethel Ingles, Texas City, Texas; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers included Rev. W. C. Grice, Jack French, Archie R. Cox, John T. Porter, Hezzie Porter, W. T. Mitchell, Jr., W. F. Prescott, Bill Lang.
