H. K. Porter Dies; Services Held Here On Wed.

Funeral services were held October 30 for H. K. Porter, Winn Parish native,
who died in Houston, Texas last Sunday.

Last rites were conducted in the Hixson Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Willie
James with burial in the Winnfield Cemetery.

Mr. Porter is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. N. D. Nesmith, Houston;
three brothers, J. J. Porter, George Porter, both of Winnfield, and A. W.
Porter of Birmingham, Ala; four sisters, Mrs. O. O. Dickerson, Winnfield, Mrs.
J. B. Evans, Monroe, Mrs. M. M. Ashcroft, Minden, and Mrs. J. E. Griffin,
Alexandria; and a grandson.

Gene Porter, John T. Porter, John W. Riley, Olan Dickerson, and M. M. Ashcroft
served as pallbearers.
