Funeral Services Were On Tuesday For John Powell

Funeral services were held at Pine Ridge Cemetery Tuesday for John Powell, 82,
retired Ward One farmer.

Mr. Powell was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish.

He died Monday in an Alexandria hospital after a lengthy illness.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

His niece, Mrs. Della Key, and three nephews, Archie and Preston Snelling, and
Jack Powell, reside in Winnfield.
