Mrs. H. E. Powell, Sr., Succumbs; Rites Held Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. H. E. Powell, Sr., of Winnfield were held Monday at
2 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church here with the Revs. W. R. Gage and Leo
Beck officiating.

Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. Powell died Sunday, October 29, 1972 at her residence after an unexpected
illness.

A native of Jackson Parish, Mrs. Powell was a member of the First Presbyterian
Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include one son, H. E. Powell, Jr., of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs.
Cecil Waldrip of Quitman; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
