W. Price, aged 74 years, 4 months, and 18 days, a member of an esteemed Dodson family, succumbed Monday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben House of Jonesboro, whom she had been visiting for the past ten days, in order to attend a series of meetings at the Zion Rest Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Price was the victim of pneumonia. Mrs. Price, whose maiden name was Miss Ethlindy Riley, was married to G. W. Price, Sr. They had nine children, three sons and six daughters, two sons and five daughters now living. Mr. Price died in 1930. Mrs. Price was born in Henry County, Alabama. She became affiliated with the Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church on July 9th, 1887, and ever lived up to the faith and teachings of this religion and was truly a good and noble Christian woman. She is survived by two sons, G. W. Price, Jr., of Dodson, and J. B. Price of Shreveport; five daughters, Mrs. Walter Kornegay, Mrs. Walter Hughes, Dodson, Mrs. Ben House, Jonesboro, Mrs. F. H. Paige, Chase, Mrs. J. L. Fox, Winnsboro. A number of grandchildren and other relatives survive. Rev. Monk, the pastor of the Zion Rest Primitive Baptist Church conducted the funeral services at 10 a.m., Wednesday. The remains were interred at the Zion Hill Cemetery.
