Former Winn Parish Resident Dies In Mass.

Mrs. H. L. Preston, 51, the former Ethelyn Shelton of Winnfield, died
Saturday, Jan. 8, in Foxboro, Mass., where she had resided for many years. 
She had been in ill health for some time.

She was born at the family home in the Sardis Community and attended school at
Sardis until her senior year, at which time she enrolled in the Winnfield
school.  She was also a member of the Sardis Church.  She married November 4,
1918, and moved with her husband to Alexandria, and later to Foxboro.

Surviving are her husband, H. L. Preston; four sons and two daughters, all of
Massachusetts; six sisters, Mrs. E. B. Barton, Sr., of Sardis, Mrs. Olive
Eagles and Mrs. Hasson Morris of Winnfield; Mrs. J. H. Keyes of Winnsboro,
Mrs. A. B. Hughes of Montgomery, Mrs. C. R. Mixon of Pineville; one brother,
Riley B. Shelton of Charleston, S. C.
