J. I. Prestridge, 77, Dies; Rites Held Monday

Funeral services for James Ivy Prestridge, 77, of Jonesboro, were held Monday
at 10 a.m. at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Louis Moffett and
Richard Shreve officiating.

Burial was in Gansville Cemetery near Jonesboro.

Mrs. Prestridge died about 10 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 1967 in Jonesboro
Hospital after a long illness.

He was a retired carpenter and a member of Crowville Lodge No. 370 F. & A. M.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Vergie Prestridge, Jonesboro; a son, Rogers
M. Prestridge, Bossier City; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Dalfulme, Sondheimer; his
mother, Mrs. Mollie Prestridge, Dodson; three brothers, Arthur Prestridge
and Cannon Prestridge, both of Jonesboro; and Abe Prestridge, Crowville; a
sister, Mrs. Wilson Shiveley, Dodson; five grandchildren and one great
grandchild.

The family requested that memorials be made to the March of Dimes for
Respiratory research.
