Mrs. Prestridge Succumbs; Rites At Gansville

Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Elizabeth Prestridge, 97, of Dodson, were
held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gansville Baptist Church with the Revs. Louis
Moffett, Billy Smithart, and Richard Shreve officiating.  Burial was in
Gansville Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Prestridge died Friday, September 4, 1970 at the Jackson Parish Hospital
in Jonesboro after a long illness.

Survivors include three sons, Arthur Prestridge of Monroe, Abe Prestridge
of Crowille, and Canno Prestridge of Jonesboro; a daughter, Mrs. J. W. Shively
of Dodson; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Kennedy of Delhi and Mrs. Mamie Machen  of
Tallulah; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and five great-great
grandchildren.
