All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: May 3, 1972 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Benjamin Price, 75, Succumbs; Rites Sunday Benjamin Price, 75, of Winnfield, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 28, 1972, in Winnfield General Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Junction City, Ark., an elder in the First Presbyterian Church, and a retired dry kiln foreman. He was a veteran of World War I and a poet. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Clara Price of Winnfield; a son, William J. Price of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. George W. Bell of Pineville; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert Gage officiating. Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield. Pallbearers included deacons of the First Presbyterian Church, M. L. Wood, R. H. Watts, Henry E. Ross, J. R. Harrison, P. H. Cole, and Earl Applewhite. Ruling Elders and Deacons of the church were honorary pallbearers.
