L. Prince, Sikes Farmer William Lewis Prince, 80 year old prominent Sikes farmer, was buried Monday, July 21, 1952, following his death at his home on Saturday. Mr. Prince was born November 20, 1871 in Sikes, and spent his entire life there. He was well known as a farmer in the parish. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were held in Fellowship Baptist Church near Sikes at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by Rev. Paul Hammonds. Burial was in the Fellowship Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, of Sikes; four sons, Charlie and Ross of Conroe, Texas, Clarence of Sikes, and Wayne of the Air Corps; three daughters, Mrs. Opal Wasson of Little Rock, Ark.; Mrs. Jewel Wiggins of Winnsboro; and Mrs. Loyce Arledge of Vinton; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were R. C. Johnson, E. E. Adams, Edwin Price, Chester Kirkland, Arnold Sikes, and Alfred Prince.
