Mrs. Arthur Scott's Sister Dies Monday At Home in Bernice

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Lindsey Porter, 48, wife of J. T. Porter,
Jr., who died at 2 a.m. Monday from a heart attack, at her home in Bernice,
were held at the Bernice Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. T. A.
Mitchell officiating.  Burial was in the Bernice Cemetery.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two brothers, G. E. and Floyd Lindsey;
mother, Mrs. Lila Rives, of Bernice, and one sister, Mrs. Arthur Scott of
Winnfield.
