Peters Mrs. Minerva Jane Peters, age 68 years, widow of the late Dr. J. J. Peters and mother of Mrs. E. A. Weeks and Attorney John J. Peters, of Winnfield, died Tuesday evening at 6:45 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. B. Cox in Shreveport. Mr. R. S. Walsh, undertaker, went to Shreveport Wednesday and brought the body by hearse to Winnfield to the home of her son, John J. Peters, from where the funeral service took place at 3:30, the Rev. Alwyn Stokes conducting the services. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Peters is survived by six daughters and four sons: Mrs. E. A. Weeks of Winnfield; Mrs. Edwin C. Simonton and Mrs. A. B. Cox of Shreveport; Mrs. A. H. Planck of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. W. M. Campbell of New Orleans; and Mrs. H. C. Collier of Alexandria; Dr. A. M. Peters and Dr. James I. Peters of Alexandria; Attorney John J. Peters and Hines Peters of Winnfield; all of whom attended the funeral except Mrs. W. M. Campbell of New Orleans who was unable to attend on account of high water. Other relatives and friends from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Calloway, J. M. Calloway, G. C. Miller, Mrs. Jim McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Cox, Elmo Cox, Miss Edith Cox, and Dr. and Mrs. A. E. Simonton, of Jonesboro; Mrs. Green Butler of Homer; Mrs. W. F. Cummings of Monroe; Mr. and Mrs. T. J. McDonald of Hodge; Mrs. W. M. Wallace and Edward Mathews of Shreveport.
