Mrs. Pugh Receives Fatal Burns In Gas Explosion

News of the death of Mrs. Sallie Louise Pugh, caused by burns received in a
gas explosion Monday night in Alexandria, was received here by Mrs. Pugh's
granddaughter, Mrs. Shirley Jackson.  Dr. Pugh, of Cotton Valley, was a 
visitor to Winnfield this week enroute to the scene of his mother's death in
Alexandria.  Mrs. Brock, daughter of Mrs. Pugh, and S. Madere, a railroad
fireman, were also burned from the explosion.  They are expected to recover.
