L. Pullen, Shock Victim Funeral services for Edward L. Pullen, 39, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Pullen of Wyatt, were held in Siloam Springs Methodist Church Wednesday at 3 p.m. He died Monday afternoon as the result of an electric shock received while working on a dragline near Baton Rouge. Pullen was working on Airline Highway near New Orleans when the accident occurred. The dragline boom accidentally came in contact with a high tension wire when he had his hand on the machine, killing him on the spot. He was the nephew of Bryant Pullen of Dodson and was known in Winn Parish. Services were conducted by Rev. J. K. Aiken, pastor of Monte Sano Presbyterian Church, Baton Rouge, assisted by Rev. T. Garrett, pastor, Siloam Springs Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Pullen of Wyatt; grandfather, L. D. Watkins of Wyatt; one brother, Glenn of Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Heley Bryan, Hodge; Mrs. Johnnie Guin, Jonesboro; Mrs. Evon Sawyer, Los Angeles. Pallbearers, all employees of Southern Equipment Tractor Co., Baton Rouge, were Frank Farmer, L. J. Prejean, Paul Mitchell, Joe Clark, Jimmy Nethery, and Eugene Huffty.
