H. Purcell, 60, Dies; Funeral Held Monday

Herschel "Zeak" Purcell, 60, of Winnfield, died Sunday, August 29, 1971 at
12:45 p.m. at the Winnfield General Hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Southern Funeral
Home with Tommy Haralson officiating.

Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield.

A native of Florence, Texas, he was a retired funeral director and a member of
the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Faye Purcell of Winnfield; two sons, Pat D.
Purcell of Houston, Texas and Michael B. Purcell of Fairfield, Calif.; two
sisters, Mrs. Lewin Stewart of Boerne, Texas and Mrs. Julius Hogue of San
Antonio, Texas; and two grandchildren.
