J. G. Pye

Gibsland, La., April 20, J. G. Pye, 79 years old, died after a year's illness
at his home in Mt. Lebanon early Saturday morning.  Besides his widow he
leaves three daughters and four sons, all of whom were present at his passing.
His daughters are Mrs. Lizzie Davis of Minden, Mrs. Emma Anderson and Mrs.
Charles Gibson of Winnfield, and his sons, Perry E. Pye of Leesville, Blenn
Pye of Bienville, Herbert Pye of Pelican, La., and A. E. Pye of Phoenix, Ariz.
He long a member of the Baptist Church from which his funeral services were
conducted, the Rev. George Crutcher of New Orleans officiating.  His remains
were interred in the cemetery at Mt. Lebanon.
