Quinn Dies In Accident; Services July 25 Funeral services were held Wednesday for Johnny Dewitt Quinn, of Georgetown, 59 year old carpenter who was fatally injured in a 25 foot ball at the Tremont Lumber Company planer site at noon, July 24, Monday. The coroner's report held that death was caused instantly by a broken neck. He had started down from a building addition when he fell, a company spokesman said. He was a career employee of Tremont. Services were at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Georgetown Baptist Church and burial was in the Zion Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. The Rev. Oscar Bradford conducted the services assisted by Rev. Ralph Hatten. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bell Quinn; a son, Robert Quinn of Freeport, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. L. M. Melton, Georgetown, Mrs. Dan Lincecum, Georgetown; five brothers, Carl C. Quinn, Floyd Quinn, and Harold Quinn, of Ball; Jess Quinn, Wink, Tex., and Earl Quinn, El Paso, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Brown, Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Harold Gordon, Little Rock, Ark.; his mother, Mrs. W. F. Quinn of Ball, La. Serving as pallbearers were Kirby Fowler, R. E. Allen, L. L. Stroud, Charles Ried, Leroy Maxey, and Marion Smith.
