Roark, 63, of Winnfield, died Monday, May 25, 1970 at 7:30 p.m. in a Ruston hospital. He was a native of LaSalle Parish, a member of the Nazarene Church, and for many years an employee of Ford Motor Company. He was currently employed by the City of Winnfield. He is survived by wife, Mrs. Gladys Roark of Winnfield; four sons, Rayford Roark, Harold Roark, and Doyle Roark, all of Winnfield, and Wayland Roark of Natchitoches; one daughter, Mrs. Joanne R. Allen of Franklinton; his mother, Mrs. Mattie Roark of Jena; three brothers, Curtis Roark and Ellis Roark, both of Houston, Texas, and N. J. Roark of Jena; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Garrett and Mrs. Earnest Cole, both of Jena, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating, assisted by Rev. Ludon Hutto. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
