Funeral Rites For Mattie L. Roberts Held

Mrs. Mattie Lee Roberts, 77, of Winnfield died at 7:55 a.m. Friday, September
6, 1968 in a Winnfield hospital.

Survivors include four sons, James Roberts and Huey Roberts, both of
Winnfield, Thomas Roberts of Tullos, and Harold Roberts of Clute, Tex.; two
daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Zimmerman of Winnfield and Mrs. Mary Hannegan of
Morgan City; two brothers, Charles Mott of Little Rock, Ark., and Evin Mott of
Gonzales; one sister, Mrs. Dottie Clay of Albuquerque, N. M.; 12 grandchildren
and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Crossroads Baptist Church
near Tullos with the Rev. Lawrence Turner officiating.  Burial was in the
church cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield.
