M. P. Rachel, 80, Dies After Long Illness

Marion P. Rachel, 80, of Goldonna, died Tuesday, May 21, 1974, at 6 p.m. in a
Natchitoches Parish Hospital after a long illness.

A native of Goldonna, he was a farmer.

A Rosary will be held in Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 7 p.m. Wednesday
night.

Funeral services will be held in Southern Chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. with
Father Curtis officiating.

Interment will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline Rachel of Goldonna; two sons, Joseph
Rachel of Minden and Lee Audry Rachel of Goldonna; two daughters, Mrs. Frances
Scallion of Goldonna and Mrs. Mary Boudreaux of Baton Rouge; nine
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
