S. R. Rambo, 57, Dies; Interment At Georgetown

S. R. "Buddy" Rambo, 57, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 1971, in a New
Orleans hospital.  A resident of Georgetown he was area supervisor of food
distribution for the State Dept. of Education.  He was a member of Selma
Baptist Church and a member of Georgetown Masonic Lodge No. 293 F. & A. M.,
and a navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Juanita Roberts Rambo of Georgetown; two
sons, Robert W. Rambo of Georgetown and Samuel E. Rambo of Alexandria; a
brother, Willard Rambo of Georgetown; four sisters, Mrs. S. J. Davis of Grand
Prairie, Tex., Mrs. Helen Merritt of___________________, _____ O. Gray and
Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, both of Pollock, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Selma Baptist Church with Rev.
Freddie Dixon officiating.  Burial was in Georgetown Cemetery under direction
of Hixson Brothers of Alexandria.
