All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: April 13, 1967 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Funeral Rites For Mrs. Ratliff, 73, Held Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Edith Ratliff, 73, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel here with the Rev. Moses Mercer officiating. Burial was in the Pollock Cemetery. Mrs. Ratliff died Sunday, April 9, 1967 in her home here after a brief illness. She was a native of Odell, Nebraska, and had been a resident of Winnfield for 30 years. When Mrs. Ratliff and her late husband came to Winnfield to make their home, they operated the Railway Express Co. here for many years before his death. Survivors are one son, Harold C. Ratliff of Pasadena, Tex.; three brothers, Ernest Craig of Booneville, Mo., Harry Craig of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Olen Craig of Lenora, Kans.; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Elling of Lenora, Kans.; and one granddaughter. Pallbearers were C. E. Sherwood, W. L. Sowers, Julius Smith, I. G. Richmond, Bill Flournoy, and Ed Gassiott.
