Mrs. Ray had been in ill health for a number of years. Funeral services were held at the Sardis Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a member, on April 13, with the pastor, Rev. E. B. Barton officiating. He was assisted by Rev. L. G. Shaw. Burial was in the Sardis Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Ed Collins, Jr., Billie Collins, Richard Collins, Charles Dick, Carl Dick, and A. R. Driggers. Mrs. Ray is survived by her husband, George Ray; two daughters, Mrs. Glennie Byrd and Mrs. Harold Porter, all of Route One, Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. A. M. Driggers, Winnfield, Mrs. Ed Collins, Atlanta, and Mrs. Bessie Ganey, Jena; three brothers, L. R. Dick, Smackover, Ark., Luther Dick, Verda, and Frank Dick, Atlanta.
