Rayburn Succumbs After Brief Illness Funeral services for Fred Wesley Rayburn, 56, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Laurel Heights Baptist Church of Winnfield with the Rev. C. C. Martin officiating assisted by Rev. John L. Holt. Burial was in the Garden of Memories near Winnfield under the direction of the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mr. Rayburn, a mill foreman, died Thursday, August 12, 1965 in McIntosh, Ala., after a brief illness. Survivors are his widow; a son, John Wesley Rayburn of Alexandria; six daughters, Mrs. Martha Varnell of McIntosh, Ala., Mrs. Bettie Falson of Jasper, Tex., Mrs. Mable Boyett of Joyce, La., Mrs. Billie Chandler of Lufkin, Tex., Mrs. Kay Crain of Winnfield; a brother, Burton Rayburn of Vidor, Texas.
