Funeral Rites For Mrs. Francis Ray Held Sun.

Funeral services for Mrs. Francis Katherine Ray, 80, of Winnfield were held
Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church near Winnfield, with the Rev. C.
W. Jones and Rev. E. B. Barton officiating.  Burial was in Brown Cemetery near
Winnfield.

Mrs. Ray died at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 1967, in a Winnfield hospital after
a brief illness.  She was a lifetime resident of Winn Parish.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Annie Bell Taylor of Winnfield, Mrs.
Jewel Luther, Orange, Texas, and Mrs. Bessie Langley of New Orleans; one son,
Reece Ray, Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Ola Collins of Gilbert, La.; one
brother, Martin Irvin of Winnfield; 12 grandchildren and 14 great
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Cecil Ray Philan, Roy Ray, Lee Ray, Boyd Petrie, Lee Mills,
Eddie Barrileaux.
