Fluitt, Veteran of U. S. Navy, Expires Funeral services for Robert Dan Fluitt, 44, of Winnfield were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Waynon Mott and the Rev. Charles Haley officiated. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield. Mr. Fluitt died at 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 30, in a local hospital following an apparent heart attack. A native of Winnfield, he was retired from the U. S. Navy after serving in World War II, the Korean Road, and the Vietnam War. A member of the Baptist Church, he was a charter member and officer of the Central Louisiana Rabbit Growers Association. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gladys S. Fluitt, Winnfield; one son, Robert Fluitt, Winnfield; one daughter, Barbara Ann Mueller, San Diego, Calif.; and one brother, John W. Fluitt, Winnfield. Pallbearers were Harold Roark, Pete Starks, James Tarver, Bob Kissler, Jerry Crooks, and Rev. Robert Gage.
