Reid, 71, of Winnfield, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church in Winnfield with Rev. Robert Gage officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories in Winnfield under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mr. Reid died Friday, November 16, 1979 in the local hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Winn Parish, a retired railroad lineman and a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as a member of the Board of Trustees. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rabie Reid of Winnfield; a daughter, Mrs. Beth Moss of Shreveport; a sister, Mrs. Florine Hossler of Amarillo, Texas; three grandchildren and a great grandchild. Among those attending the funeral of Alonzo Reid were Dr. and Mrs. Thomas (Beth) Moss and sons, Reid and John, and their daughter, Ann, and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Anderson, A. L. Sayes, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Simmons and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Porter, all of Shreveport; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Stroud and Heflin Nugent, all of Pineville.
