Charles W. Reid, 67, Succumbs; Rites Tuesday

Charles W. Reed, 67, died Sunday, February 15, 1970, in a nursing home here. 
He was a resident of Winnfield and a member of East Winnfield Baptist Church. 
He was past master of Eastern Star Masonic Lodge No. 151 and an active mason.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Amy Reid of Winnfield; a son, Charles B. Reid
of Winnfield; a daughter, Mrs. John McDonald of Gonzales; three brothers,
Byron B. Reid and A. J. Reid, both of Ponchatoula, P. M. Reid of Baker; two
sisters, Mrs. Clara Zumo of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Byola Morgan of Independence,
and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at East Winnfield Baptist Church
with Revs. 
Kenneth Wall, Jimmy Yocum, and J. L. Holt officiating.  Masonic graveside
rites were held.  Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under
direction of Southern Home.
