Mrs. C. A. Rentz, Retired Teacher, Dies Feb. 21

Mrs. Amy Snow Rentz, 77, a retired Winn Parish school teacher, and a lifelong
resident of the Hudson Community, died Tuesday, February 21, 1967, in a
Winnfield hospital after a long illness.

She was widely known for her knowledge of the history of her area and of Winn
Parish, and made her home on the old home place of her parents, one of the
oldest structures in the parish.

Mrs. Rentz was a member of the Hudson Nazarene Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. Eldean Weems and Rev. J. L. Holt officiating.

Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery.

Survivors are her husband, C. A. Rentz; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sam Mitchiner of
Lake Providence; a brother, J. U. Snow of Conway, Ark.; four nephews and seven
great nephews.
