J. Rogers of Winnfield, died in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Saturday, August 27, following an illness of a number of years. Funeral services were held in Albuquerque Tuesday of this week. Miss Lois Edwin Rogers, sister of the deceased arrived in Albuquerque a few hours before her brother died. Because of illness, his mother and brother were unable to attend the funeral. Born in Gulfport, Miss., June 18, 1907, Kendall Rogers moved to Winnfield while a child and attended the public schools here graduating in 1924 from the high school. He joined the First Baptist Church of Winnfield, later moving his membership to the church in Albuquerque. He attended a school of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Ga., and later completed an electrical and engineering course in Chicago. Before his health prevented him from working, he was head of the Radio Department of Montgomery Ward in Albuquerque. He was married to Miss Ola Maude Reed of Ft. Worth, Texas, who survives him. He also leaves a five year old son, Kendall, Jr., in Albuquerque, his mother, Mrs. H. J. Rogers, one brother, Poole Rogers, and one sister, Miss Lois Edwin Rogers, all of Winnfield.
