All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: January 2, 1964 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Cecil Rhymes Dies While On Winn Deer Hunt Cecil Rhymes, 53, of Joyce, died Thursday morning on a deer hunt east of Jordan Hill several miles. He apparently suffered a heart attack. Rhymes had gone on the hunt with several men. The Enterprise was unable to learn before press time who located Rhymes. Hixson Brothers Funeral Home dispatched an ambulance to pick up the body and Deputy Coroner Dr. Billy Floyd went to the scene. Funeral arrangements will be announced from Hixson Funeral Home. Rhymes was a mechanic employed at Winn Rock. Survivors include his wife; four sons, James Rhymes, Tullos; Murl Rhymes, Homer; Leonard Rhymes, Delhi; and Bobby Rhymes, Delhi.
