Othel A. Rhymes Succumbs; Rites At Goldonna

Othel Allen Rhymes, 49, died Saturday, November 8, 1969, at his residence in
Goldonna after a long illness.  He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Rhymes of Goldonna; one son, Othel
Ray Rhymes of Goldonna; four daughters, Mrs. Opal Blake and Mrs. Betty Moore,
both of Goldonna, Mrs. Wilma Smith of Campti, and Brenda Rhymes of Goldonna;
five brothers, Willy Rhymes, L. V. Rhymes, both of Goldonna, Robert Rhymes of
Creston, J. C. Rhymes of Springhill, and Lynn Rhymes of California; one
sister, Mrs. Ruby Monroe of Goldonna; his mother, Mrs. Jesse Rhymes of
Goldonna; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Goldonna Baptist Church with
Rev. Kit Hawthorn and Rev. A. S. Davis officiating.  Burial was in Goldonna
Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
