Willie Rhymes Dies After Brief Illness

Funeral services for Willie Rhymes, 55, of Goldonna, were held at 10 a.m.
Wednesday in Edmonds Memorial Funeral Home chapel of Jonesboro with burial in
Goldonna Cemetery.

Mr. Rhymes died Tuesday, April 19, 1977 at his residence after a brief
illness.

Survivors include three sons, J. W. Rhymes of Campti, Jimmy Rhymes and Willie
Albert Rhymes, both of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. Carrie Baxter of
Magnolia, Ark., Mrs. Janet Mathews and Mrs. Sandra Pardee, both of Campti;
four brothers, Robert Rhymes of Creston, J. C. Rhymes of Cullen, Lynn Rhymes
and L. V. Rhymes, both of Goldonna; his mother, Mrs. Jessie Rhymes of Cullen;
and 10 grandchildren.
