Mother of Local Residents Dies In Winnfield

Mrs. Alma V. Richards, 78, of Colfax, died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, September 19,
1971 in Winnfield General Hospital after a long illness.  She was a native of
Colfax.

Survivors are four sons, Otho Richards of Colfax, Owen Richards of Dry Prong,
and Clyde Richards and W. D. Richards, both of Winnfield; a daughter, Mrs. Ed
Williams of Dry Prong; a brother, Hobby Newton of Delhi, 12 grandchildren, and
12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fairfield Baptist Church with
Rev. J. C. Edwards officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under
direction of Hixson Brothers of Winnfield.
