James M. Rive, 68, Succumbs; Rites Tuesday

James Marion Rice, 68, of Goldonna, was found dead Monday, November 11, 1974
at his residence.  Natchitoches Parish Coroner Dr. Charles E. Cook ruled Rice
died sometimes November 6 or 7, probably of a heart attack.

Rice was last seen by neighbors November 4.  The body was found by his only
surviving brother, Louise Rice of Clarence.

Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Dove Morgan of Goldonna and Mrs. Rena
Burson of Minden.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Southern Funeral Home
Chapel in Winnfield with Rev. Robert Gage officiating.  Burial was in the
Evergreen Cemetery near Goldonna.
