Louie Rice Dies; Burial Held At Evergreen

Louie Rice, 54, of Clarence, died Wednesday, December 18, 1974 in Natchitoches
Parish Hospital after a short illness. He was a night club owner in Clarence
and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Louie Rice of Clarence; three daughters, Miss
Tonya Brown of Clarence, Mrs. Shelia Phillips of Bacoria, Tex., and Mrs.
Thersia Jeffcoate of Woodville, Tex.; one son, Wayne Brown of Clarence; two
sisters, Mrs. Dove Morgan of Goldonna and Mrs. Rena Burson of Minden, and five
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Southern
Funeral Home in Winnfield with Rev. Don Turner officiating. Burial was in
Evergreen Cemetery at Goldonna.
